TGIF

Today around 11 am I was sitting on my back porch talking on my phone. I get better reception outside of my home. So as I was chatting the FedEx guy came by...he stopped and we shared some words. As he was walking off he turned back around, and said "Man...It must be nice....wish I was having that kind of Friday!" I just smiled and said "yeah...it is a nice day". Honestly I had no clue what this guy was talking about...I thought he might have meant it was nice to be sitting outside on such a pretty day so I kind of just let it go. Then as I sat back down I realized I was sitting next to 3 empty Budweiser bottles...My FedEx guy thought I was getting blitzed on a Friday morning. But in reality...me and my roomate are just lazy about cleaning up after ourselves.

So no Mr. FedEx man...im not a closet alcoholic, and I don't drink beer alone on Friday mornings...I mean really...isn't that why they invented mimosas, and bloody marys?

you have got to be kidding.

There are a few things in fashion that I NEVER thought we would see again. Some of those things include, but are not limited to...tapered pants, shoulder pads, banana clips, and athletic socks that came above the ankle...one thing I formely put in this list has however reemerged, and I am having a really hard time with it.

Yes in case you didn't know pleats will soon be everywhere. I got my latest InStyle yesterday and pleated pants, and shorts are apparently all the rage this season.

Well this girl will not be surcoming to the fad...Pleats do nothing for me. Maybe they work for you Nicole Richie...but not eating also works for you, and well....thats never been something thats worked out for me either.

they say its your birthday...

Today is Queen Elizabeths birthday, and I can't help but wonder....do you think people give her things like "Queen of it All" t-shirts for her birthday?

Chillin, and Grillin

I am a winter girl through and through...I really think its my favorite season. Maybe its because I sweat constantly in the summer. Or maybe its because the second my hair senses humidity it is a mess....or maybe I just like cozy sweaters, and hot chocolate. But the one thing I hate about winter is you can't grill out.

One of my favorite passtimes is having, or attending a cook-out, and its just not the same in Winter. Its too cold, and Margaritas and Corona just don't go well with sweaters and boots. Now that spring is officially in the air, it is the official season to drag out the grill and throw on some charcoal. Its supposed to be 83 degrees today, and to me anything fro 78-87 degrees is perfect grilling weather.

So I have my steaks in marinade, and I have a handle of tequila just waiting to get mixed with sour mix. If you are in the neighborhood and smell something good its probably our grill going. Stop by, but bring your own booze...heres to spring!

i love a complimentary happy hour

Right now i am in HOT-lanta on business. I have spent the last two days riding with one of the senior sales reps, and the only other female sales reps in my company. awesome lady to be around...i really have learned a lot these past two days about selling, but she could stand to put the blackberry down from time to time, but anyways... it has been two very exhausting days.

after days like these were you are just on the go from 8-6 non-stop i really can see why my father always would come home and have a drink after work. being on and charismatic for customers, or your boss, can be exhausting. and a girl needs a margarita, or a glass of wine at the end of a hard day. this was one of those days.

i had pretty much decided the only way I could get a drink was to walk to some bar after i checked into my hotel....upon arrival i figured out there were no bars, or even resteraunts close by. i was giving up the idea and then i walked into my hotel. behold...tons of people in the lobby holding glasses of wine, and ice cold beers, and munching on cheese, and apps! the girl at the front desk handed me my key, and said "have a nice stay, and please enjoy our complimentary happy hour". I wanted to jump over that counter and give her a hug. cheers to you front desk woman. you and your hotel rock...

an apology

to all those readers of the funny one i apologise for my absense lately. times got tough, but times are looking better, and my life is starting to be funny again. lets be honest my life never stopped being funny. in fact at the worst times it was my humor that brought me back to a normal state. thanks to all who make me laugh daily, monthly, weekly, bi-weekly, and randomly. or those who provide a laugh track to my life...you all make me smile.
