is this a sign im getting old?

Saturday, me and BK and some others attended The Allman Brothers concert in Raleigh. It was last minute planning, but we went, and had a pretty good time except it was a little on the hot side, but nowhere near as hot as it has been lately, for that we were lucky. If you stood in the same place, and didn't move around a lot then it was rather pleasant. But heres my issue...
When you drink beer you have to use the bathroom....a lot. Especially when the only beer they are serving comes in 22 oz cans, and in order for it not to get hot, you have to keep a steady pace of drinking. Therefore you drink, then you have to go to the bathroom. At Walnut creek the pavilion we were at the bathrooms were not far, but they were by no means close. First you had to walk up the hill to get to the sidewalk. Follow the sidewalk around, and go down a couple sets of stairs. At that point you walked to the restroom, and then waited in line. At which point it was almost an emergency situation till a bathroom was free. After doing your business you had to wait back in line for a beer, climb the 100 stairs back, and then weave around the lawn to find your place. By this point you stand for a few minutes, and then have to do that whole process all over again. I feel like throughout the whole concert I was just listening to the music on my way back and forth to the bathroom. The majority of my time was spent standing in line at the bathroom or the beer stand. Honestly I don't really remember watching much of the band.
So I just wonder how in the past I was able to actually catch concerts, without the steady trips to the bathroom, and I am wondering if this means that as I age my bladder is getting smaller, or my ability to hold it is weakening. Or were we just really freaking far away from the bathroom? If it is an age issue is this what I am to expect from outdoor concerts from here on out? Because that is really sad.

August 6th

I can't believe it is already August 6th. This summer has whizzed on by, I guess because I have been a busy little bee. Between work, and weekend vacations July seemed to go by at warp speed. There was the week long beach trip, a trip to NYC, a trip to Charlotte to visit the fam, and that was July.

Last weekend was one of the first weekends in a while that me and BK were home for the entire weekend. It was great. I cleaned, and cooked. We had people over Saturday evening, and we even had a play date for Hazel....her brother Dixon came to stay for the weekend. Its always nice to slow things down a bit, and have a lazy weekend here and there.

Now I am ready for fall to get here...and football season to start. First home game is Sept. 8th...I think, and apparently the pirates are looking good this season.*

Heres some pics from July. Enjoy...and I promise to be a better blogger.

*Every year before football season there are some die-hard ECU fans that say "this is the year" and "the team is really looking good" and i always believe them, and by the end of the season people say things like..."well we had a really tough schedule" or "well you know we are in a rebuilding year" I just hope this year we really are decent...atleast let us beat NC State, and Carolina is that too much to ask?
