What is a Hokie anyways?

This weekend we will pile in the car and head to Charlotte to "Paint it Purple".
ECU takes on Virginia Tech at Panthers stadium for the opening of what (we hope) to be a good season for the Pirates. Win or lose, im sure it will be a good game.

I can't believe its already football season...where did summer go?
This is however one of my favorite times of year...its usually busy with trips back and forth to Greenville for home games, but there is nothing like a ECU tailgate/game. Im glad I went to a college that has so much spirit, even if our team isn't always #1. It's always great to head back to Greenville and see friends from school and try to re-live the college days for a day.
I will say while ECU might not be ranked #1 I think we are #1 is school spirit. I also think we tailgate better than any other school out there...

So if you are going to the game, see you there...if not it will be on ESPN.

GO PIRATES!!

Ready...

Its Wednesday which means 3 more days before the beach. Im reallllllly looking forward to this vacation. Usually we go in June or July, but this year we waited till August, and Im tired of waiting!

Last weekend we went to the wedding of Becca O'neill, now Becca Asseff. It was a lovely ceremony, and I forgot my camera so I don't have any pics to show off.

I did however have my camera when Hazel had her friend Tank over last week. The first is Hazel and Tank, the next is Hazel and Budge. Hazel slept till almost 10 the next day after Tanks visit!!

Ill post pics when I get back from the beach!

Geez...

I haven't blogged in a little over forever! But here it is summer time (almost the end of summer time to be exact) and I am feeling in the mood to give a lil' update.

Wedding planning is going really well. I haven't really had too much stress with it at all--except the guest list. For all of you who have not done a guest list its much more like homework than fun. Its a hassle to say the least, and Im still freaking out that I have forgotten someone. But I can say that as of Tuesday I am finished! I emailed it off to my mother and that felt really good! Soon Save-the-Dates will be going out! Im excited for everyone to see them because I think they turned out really cute! ;)

So the summer has been one of the busiest on records. We have made a couple trips to my brothers mountain house, a trip to MD for a wedding, we had both Budges sister and brother with their significant others come visit. And Next week we are headed to Topsail. I can't remember a weekend where we weren't going somewhere or having company visit. This weekend we are headed to Charlotte for another wedding. All this stuff going on has really made the summer fly by. That is ok though-- because now FOOTBALL season is just right around the corner! I can hardley wait till the Pirates take the field of Panthers stadium in Charlotte!

Needless to say our lives are busy right now--
We are enjoying the wedding planning process, and still settleing into our new home. Come see us if you are in Raleigh! I promise to keep this blog more updated when I have something to say!!

Happy Summer!

Peachy.

Well a new year is here!
Before 2008 came I got a lovely suprise, Budge got down on one knee Christmas eve and asked me to marry him. So 2008 will definitly hold some wedding planning, but I think 2009 will be the actual year of the ceremony.
Also this 2008 me and Budge are moving into our new home. We will be homeowners in 2008. We close on our house January 30th...of course that could always get pushed back, but right now our fingers are crossed! The start of 2008 will be lots of packing. Luckily our new house is not too far from our old one so we can move gradually. Hopefully this will be the last move for a while...I hate packing and unpacking.
We are so excited about the house, and the engagement...sometimes I feel the need to pinch myself that life is moving along so well. Im sure 2008 will have its share of ups and downs, but its starting off just peachy.

Christmas Kick off.

This is one of my favorite times of the year...the air is getting chillier, everyone is putting up their Christmas decor, and Christmas carols are on the radio! I do love Christmas time. Yesterday we went and got our tree. It was odd because its the first time I have ever actually gone to get a live tree in all my 26 years. My brother was allergic, and we always had a fake one...which was always really pretty, but still...there is something about a real tree with that piney scent, that just makes the house feel like its Christmas time.

Last weekend was the first weekend in I can't remember how long that I had nothing to do...and it was wonderful. I got the house cleaned, and fully converted to Christmas, and I caught up on all my DVR'd shows from the past few weeks.

This weekend my ladies are coming over for a little Christmas party. Im trying to think of the perfect Christmas cocktail to serve, along with what cheeseball to make...decisions decisions. Im looking forward to some girl time, and seeing friends from out of town.

This weekend I also had a little time for a photo shoot with Hazel...enjoy her Christmas look!

Update

Where did October go? All of a sudden its chilly out, and I feel like we just got done with summer. Im not complaining though...I LOVE the colder weather...now If I only had time to organize my closet for a new season.
Things have been super busy lately, and I was looking at my calender and as it stands now I don't have a free weekend until December 15th...in which case I have plans of doing nothing but watching tv on my couch.
Right now my days are filled with the billboard biz, and each night I make the 50 minute trek to Farmville to direct Scrooge. The drive kills me, but as soon as I get there I realize why I agreed to it...the people are some of the nicest you will ever meet.
This weekend me and BK are headed to Bmore for his sisters nuptiuals. Im looking forward to the festivities...especially the carousel, and irish coffees* before the reception!
The following weekend Im jet setting off to Orlando to the marriage of my oldest, and dearest friend MP, I have known her since we were in 1st grade! Then its Thanksgiving with the Family in Charlotte, and that kind of wraps up November!
Our house is coming a long faster than anyone could ever expect...the only thing positive to say about this drought is that construction definitly is right on schedule. So lots of stuff is keeping this girl busy in Eastern NC, and I can't wait till December 15th... ;)
